Provence birdwatching: blue tit

The blue tit

Even though it’s early March, Spring has arrived in Provence. How can I tell? Well, more birds are singing early in the mornings and some of them are starting their courtship rituals.

Amongst those many birds, I particularly enjoy the look (and the sound!) of the blue tit.

I’ve taken pictures of it and also tried to draw it: the delicate hues of blue of its wings against its yellow belly are just fascinating to me. This one was taken in the Camargue area, not far from the wetlands of Les Marais du Vigueirat.
