I found it a nice and easy way to get acquainted with nature by starting to learn some of the naturalist terms first.

Imparipinnate leaf: leaf with an odd number of leaflets, at the end of which there is an unpaired terminal leaflet.



Leaflet: smaller leaf

Melliferous: plant that secretes nectar, from which bees make honey.



Pinnate leaf: leaf that is made up of leaflets, arranged symmetrically on either side of the central stem
Pioneer species: one that colonises a given ecological space


Root sucker: a shoot springing from the roots of a plant.
